Sixto Luna, a visionary artist of Taíno descent, was born in Kiskeya, more commonly known as the Dominican Republic. Graduating with a B.S. in Information Science from Syracuse University, he later achieved a master's degree from the prestigious Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at the Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, in 2003. His artwork resides at the intersection of digital mediums and traditional old master techniques. It was not until a 2017 painting workshop with visionary artist Amanda Sage that Sixto picked up a brush for the first time, igniting an obsession with the 'Mischtechnik' (oil and tempera painting).
